About Me
My name is Mr. St. Amand (pronounced "Saint Uh-Mond"). This is my sixth year at Clackamas Web Academy, and I teach Language Arts and Journalism. I worked at Rex Putnam for four years, and I spent the last year teaching education and composition classes at Warner Pacific College.
Prior to teaching, I spent more than 10 years working in newspapers and communications. I have written thousands of newspaper stories, but I can tell you I wasn't a great writer when I started high school. I believe that anyone can become a good writer, because we all have great stories to tell. This is one of the biggest reasons I changed careers.
When I'm not teaching, I love spending time with my family, flyfishing, hiking, climbing mountains and enjoying our Northwest. I am also a devout Detroit sports fan, and I love the Michigan Wolverines. Go Blue!
I look forward to working with all of you!
