2025 Spring
Newsletter

Hello CWA Families,

We are entering the final stretch of the academic year! Our students have been continuing to show consistent academic growth. tremendous dedication in their studies, and we are proud of the progress being made across all grade levels. Our teachers have continued to emphasize academic excellence by providing engaging instruction, providing targeted support, and preparing students for our end-of-year assessments. We encourage all students to remain engaged, stay organized, and take full advantage of the resources available to them as they work toward a successful finish.

It’s truly a joy to share all the wonderful things happening here at Clackamas Web Academy. We’re looking forward to celebrating our Kindergarten, 5th grade, and 8th grade promotions — and we’re especially excited to honor our Seniors at their High School Graduation on June 2nd! Their hard work and dedication have brought them to this significant moment, and we couldn’t be more proud.

As we move through the final weeks of the school year, let’s stay focused and support our students in finishing strong. Together, we can make these last weeks meaningful and memorable.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Progress Update: Bob’s Red Mill Property Acquisition

Clackamas Web Academy continues to make meaningful progress toward securing a permanent home for our school community through the potential purchase of the former Bob’s Red Mill (BRM) property in Milwaukie. This effort represents an important step in strengthening long term stability, expanding opportunities for students, and deepening our connection to the community we serve.

I wanted to provide you with a brief update on the progress of the Bob’s Red Mill (BRM) project:

Land Use Application, City of Milwaukie, Completed
Bond Financing Presentation, Which We Received Preliminary Approval (Oregon Facilities Authority), Completed

We have been scheduled to present our case to the Milwaukie City Planning Commission on May 12th. The time of this meeting has yet to be determined and will be held at City Hall Council Chambers, 10501 SE Main Street. A decision on our zoning request will be made at that time. We are asking CWA parents, students, and community members to attend this session in support of our request with the city. Your presence will help demonstrate the strength of our school community and the impact of the work taking place at CWA.

As you can see from the test fit drawings, the property will provide approximately 21,000 square feet of space, a significant increase from the 10,000 square feet at our current location, along with two acres of land. This expanded footprint will allow for three additional classrooms, more dedicated meeting spaces for families, and access to a full gymnasium. The site also includes more than 90 parking spaces, improving access and convenience for students, families, and staff.

In addition, the location strengthens our connection to key partners such as Clackamas Community College’s Harmony Campus, Clackamas Middle College, and the North Clackamas School District. A centralized campus will also enhance advisory connections, increase opportunities for in person classes and support, and foster a stronger sense of belonging for students and families.

The May 12th hearing represents an important milestone in this process, as the city’s decision will ultimately determine our next steps, and we hope to see strong support and representation from our CWA community.

Respectfully,
Brad Linn, Principal
