    Boletín de otoño de 2023 ¡Hola familias de CWA! ¡Feliz caída! Esperamos que haya podido salir al aire libre en este clima cálido y soleado que somos tan afortunados de tener en esta época del año en el hermoso noroeste. En este mes de gratitud, estamos muy agradecidos por su apoyo y que hayan elegido nuestra escuela para la educación de su hijo. We are very proud of all of their accomplishments and especially the fun, goofy, kind, caring students they are. They worked hard this year presenting at two Celebrations of Learning, participating in BizTown, making fantastic academic gains in Language Arts and Math, and creating wonderful works of art throughout the year. An extra special shout out to those students that brought in the most money: Krista Jordaine and Giada Ferensak in Middle School and Oliver Betteridge and Greyson Sharp in Elementary School. Thank you so much for your extraordinary support of our school! The money raised in this event helps pay for field trips, science supplies, community building activities, Kona Ice and more. We hope to see everyone again at our annual Fun Run next year, so start training now 😊 Game Night A huge thank you to our Leadership class for hosting an awesome Game Night in April! Students played games, sang karaoke, took selfies in the photo booth, ate delicious snacks, participated in video game competitions, won awesome raffle prizes, and had so much fun together! Our Elementary students hosted an amazing science fair, where the scientific method was on full display. Our Middle School students showcased work from Language Arts, Math, Social Studies and Science using display boards or slideshows. At the high school levels, ninth graders showed off their learning through unique projects in science and math, English and World History, respectively. In 10th grade, students followed a theme of survival as they presented for Biology, US History, English, and Math. Our Juniors and Seniors presented their experiences gained in the community service-based Youth Take Action class and Senior Internship. Well done to all of you that participated, your hard work and presentation skills were amazing! CWA was transformed into an elegant ballroom for the evening and our students were dressed to the nines. Thank you Ms. Seibel and the Leadership Team for hosting this fantastic event, fun was had by all who attended! Formal 2 Formal, Raffle 25 Formal, Staff Formal 2 1/8 K-1 Farm North Clackamas’ Land Lab invited our K-1 students for a fun farm animal field trip this spring. Students were able to see pigs, goats, chickens, cows, and more. Watching the High School FFA students lead our students in groups and share their knowledge was very special, thank you to all who came to the farm! A HUGE thank you to our awesome parent volunteers for helping make this a special event with decorations, cake, tokens, pizza, and more, you guys are awesome! It was fun to watch them grow from caterpillars, to becoming a chrysalis to eventually emerging as butterflies. Students were engaged every step of the way until we eventually released them all in early June. Students were provided a delicious Pietro’s pizza lunch in a festive atmosphere where they were able to enjoy each other’s company and celebrate their High School journey together. Our seniors were very supportive of each other as they received honor cords for department awards, Oregon State Assessments, college credit, Youth Take Actions, longevity at CWA, biliteracy, and more. CWA brinda instrucción a estudiantes en Oregon a través de una combinación innovadora de plan de estudios en línea, clases presenciales, laboratorios, tutoría, actividades y acceso a clases universitarias. Acerca de mí Me gradué de Huntington Beach High en 1985 y me mudé a Oregón en 1990. Recibí una licenciatura en Ciencias de PSU y trabajé durante varios años antes de decidir seguir una carrera en la enseñanza. Recibí mi Maestría en Enseñanza de la Universidad George Fox en 2004. Después de graduarme, enseñé inglés estándar y con honores en Molalla High. Con el tiempo, me mudé al distrito escolar de North Clackamas y comencé a enseñar en CWA. Este es mi decimosexto año en CWA y ha sido una aventura maravillosa. ¡Me encanta trabajar con mis estudiantes y mis familias! Fuera del trabajo, me encanta viajar y he visitado India, Tailandia, Dinamarca y muchos lugares de los EE. UU. También disfruto escribir y siempre tengo un proyecto creativo en proceso. Soy una cocinera entusiasta y me gusta probar nuevos tipos de comida y recetas. Probablemente no hace falta decir que me encanta leer, ¡pero también me encantan los podcasts!
