About Me
Hi, my name is Trisha Papenfuss and I am excited about the 2023-24 school year. To tell you a little bit about me... I've been married for 42 years to a wonderful man that I adore. We met and married in college and moved to Portland after graduating to work and start a family. Over the years we have been blessed with 4 extraordinary children, 4 amazing in-laws, and 10 precious grandchildren that we love with all our hearts.
After raising my children I decided to go back to school and get my teaching degree. I received my Bachelors' degree at Warner Pacific University in Human Development and then went on to get my Master's in Education from UOP. While working on my degree I was hired at CWA where I've continued to work for the last 21 years. I absolutely LOVE my job and can't think of another profession that is more challenging or that is more satisfying then working with students one on one and in the classroom. The relationship that I've developed with my students and their families over the years is incredible and I can't imagine ever going back into the classroom full-time.
When I'm not working with students or teaching in the classroom you will find me hanging out with my family (usually at the beach), playing with my grandchildren, or curled up reading a good book. I also love to work on my genealogy and I'm a sucker for reality TV. Does anyone want to be on who's going to win "Survivor" this year?
