Hello students and families,

I am very happy to be a part of the Clackamas Web Academy family and am grateful for my roles as English Language Development Coordinator/Specialist (K-12) and advisor (6-12). I enjoy working closely with students and families so they can have a successful and rewarding time in school. My hope is that you feel safe and free to contact me about any questions, concerns or anything.
About Me
It's hard for me to believe that the 2026-2027 school year will be my 21st year teaching and my 11th year at CWA! Prior to teaching at CWA, I taught in the North Clackamas School District in elementary schools (Oregon Trail and Verne Duncan) as an English Language Development Specialist. Before that, I earned a B.S. degree in Child and Adolescent Development and a Master's degree in Teaching. Also, during the time that I was in college, I taught preschool for 6 years, so I have a great appreciation for early child development and education, as well.
Although a teacher now, my passions started off in theater arts with acting, singing and dancing. I moved from Oregon to Los Angeles after high school when I was 18. I studied at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, The Lee Strasberg Theater Institute and The Groundlings, Improv. Theater. Life in Hollywood proved difficult for my sensitive and heart-centered personality, so although I'm not a movie star like I had "dreamed", you will definitely see the actor side of me shine through more often than not in my goofy and dramatic nature! I still love theater arts but with age and experience I have developed a deep interest and love of visual arts and making things. I love DIY crafts and creating art of any kind, particularly ceramics/pottery, sewing and painting.
At home with me are my husband, Craig, and my son, James. We have the sweetest dog ever, June Bug and a black cat named Noche. As a family, we enjoy camping, trips to the beach, and traveling when we can.
