2023年秋のニュースレター
CWAファミリーの皆さん、こんにちは！
ハッピー秋！ 美しい北西部でこの時期に恵まれたことはとても幸運なことですが、この暖かい気候と太陽の光の中で、皆さんが外に出られたことを願っています。 今月は感謝の気持ちを込めて、皆様のご支援とお子様の教育のために当校をお選びいただいたことに深く感謝いたします。 この学年が私たちにとってこれまでと同様に、皆さんにとっても前向きなものであることを願っています。 私たちは、オンラインでもオンサイトでも、生徒を毎日学校に迎えることができて本当に嬉しいです。 このニュースレターでは、今四半期に行われた多くの活動や学習の機会のいくつかに焦点を当て、重要な日程や今後のイベントをお知らせします。 また、11 月 20 日と 21 日に開催される保護者/教師会議への参加もお願いいたします。 以下にスケジュールを記載しましたので、確認して計画を立ててください。 お待ちしております！

小川/道路沿いのクリーンアップ YTA イベント
小川/道路沿いの清掃イベントは、生徒たちに貴重な YTA 時間を提供しながら、コミュニティを支援する素晴らしい機会を学生たちに提供しました。 学生とスタッフは、ここクラカマスの 84 番街沿いに複数のゴミ袋を詰めました。参加してくれた皆さんに心から感謝します。 さらにボランティアの機会をお探しの場合は、YTA の先生にご連絡ください。
新学期オリエンテーション
私たちは 学年レベルのオリエンテーションに素晴らしい参加をし、力強い今年度のスタートを切りました。 CWA のオリエンテーションで、生徒たちは素晴らしいスタートを切り、教師に会い、新しい友達を作るために必要な情報を得ることができました。 ご参加いただきました皆様、誠にありがとうございました。
Sports Day at CWA
To celebrate National Girls & Women in Sports Day, we invited ALL students to wear their favorite athletic attire, to support their favorite team, or to represent their favorite athlete. It was so fun to see the school spirit! 🏀⚽🏈⚾🎾
公園への小学校の遠足
Our elementary students read an incredible 33,000 minutes during the month of February! To celebrate their achievement, they earned a special trip to OMSi with our Middle School students to watch Shark Kingdom.
本校の高校生は、オンサイトの強化クラスに積極的に参加し、提供される協力的で魅力的な学習の機会を楽しんでいます。 Doorways to Expression の学生は、描画、絵画、写真、彫刻を通じて自己表現を検討しています。Ancient Empires の学生は、さまざまな古代帝国の文化、芸術、建築を調べるために時間を遡る旅をしています。年鑑の学生は忙しいです。 天文学の学生は、核融合、重力、光年、太陽風、宇宙探査などの科学のテーマや自然現象を研究しています。 オレゴン史の学生は、オレゴンを特別な場所たらしめているユニークな動植物、川、湖、流域、山、森林、放牧地、地質について学んでいます。
Everyone Loves Learning Math at CWA!
At CWA, we firmly believe that all students are mathematicians. Our online and onsite math instruction is designed to be engaging, collaborative, and supportive, reinforcing the skills students develop through our online platforms. We strongly encourage all students to participate in these sessions, where they can enjoy fun, hands-on learning experiences that build math skills and boost confidence. We’ll see you all in your math classroom! 😊
Will Hornyak, Living Streams Assembly
Our K–5 students were thrilled to participate in an engaging, interactive assembly with Portland’s own Will Hornyak, Storyteller Extraordinaire. Living Streams: Stories for Healthy Watersheds brought learning to life through myths, fables, tall tales, and participatory storytelling. Through this dynamic experience, students explored important concepts such as water systems, wetlands, fish habitats, recycling, composting, and sustainability.

100th Day of School
Our 100th Day of School was filled with fun, 100-themed activities! Students and teachers dressed like they were 100 years old, searched for 100 hidden Hershey’s Kisses, participated in academic challenges centered around 100, played a Race to 100 math game, and so much more. It was a day full of both fun and learning for everyone who participated! 💯
Friendship Day
On February 14th, our elementary students celebrated “Friendship Day” by writing cards, creating friendship books, decorating treat bags, playing partner games, and spending meaningful time building community together.

Prom
A wonderful time was had by all at our Spring Prom at The Aerie at Eagle Landing. Students were dressed to the nines and enjoyed an evening full of dancing, laughter, and celebration in a beautifully decorated, elegant setting. The chocolate fountain was a crowd favorite!A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Seibel and the Leadership Team for creating such a classy and memorable event. 💃🕺
