We are so very proud of our students and all their hard work. Thank you to all our families for your continued partnership and support, we couldn’t do it without you! February 5th is Sports Day at CWA In honor of National Girls and Women in Sports Day on February 5th, we are inviting ALL students to wear their favorite athletic attire, support their favorite team, or their favorite athlete. K - 5 Reading Challenge Our elementary students have been challenged to read 30,000 minutes collectively in the month of February to earn a Field Trip to see Journey to Space at OMSI. Thank you for encouraging and supporting them in this endeavor, we know they can do it!!! HS Enrichment Classes High School Enrichment Classes begin the week of March 3rd, please check soon on our main page of the website for descriptions, days and times, and registration YouthTruth Survey The Youth Truth Survey will be available later this month for students and families to participate in, thank you in advance for your time and your support of our school! February Important Dates 2/17 Presidents Day - No School for Students 2/24 Teacher In Service Day - No School for Students CWA’s Presentations of Learning CWA students participated in our first semester Presentations of Learning in January. Students were eager to share their learning with their families, peers, and teachers and were so proud of their work. It was fun to visit students’ exhibits and hear them share their knowledge with such confidence and expertise. Thank you to all who came to support our students, we had over 500 students, family, and community members in attendance. And an extra big THANK YOU to those students that brought in the most supplies at each grade level: Elementary - Viktoriya Fuentes Middle School - Giada Ferensak and Baz Froud High School - Vika Galimska Our leadership students delivered the donated supplies to the Wichita Center which directly impacts our very own North Clackamas families. Our students hand wrote and decorated hundreds of cards with personalized messages that provide crucial emotional support, fostering resilience and self-esteem in our local elementary school students. They are your personal advocate. They are your cheerleader- offering encouragement and motivation. Advisors connect families to all things CWA, and are your source of consistent communication so you have the information you need. Data has shown that students that meet regularly with their advisor perform better in school, have higher grades, and are more likely to graduate on time. We are so grateful for our advisors and the amazing work they do! Nintendo Tournament CWA’s Leadership students hosted a Nintendo Tournament featuring Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart. The event was a huge success and so much fun for all who participated. Congratulations to the winners! Останні 20 років я працював учителем середньої школи в штаті Орегон. Вирісши в сім’ї з двома вихователями як батьками, я завжди тягнувся до професії вчителя. Продовжуючи навчати студентів, які вважаються групою ризику, я відточив свої навички роботи зі студентами на більш особистому рівні, щоб спробувати усунути ці перешкоди та бар’єри для навчання. Моя пристрасть до викладання завжди полягала в навчанні студентів про навколишнє середовище. Я люблю проводити студентів НА ДОВОРІ! Як викладач природничих наук, я вів студентів у багато пригод, вивчаючи навколишнє середовище. Мені справді подобається бруднити руки біля моїх учнів. Незалежно від того, чи це викопування гімалайської ожини, чи пошук серед листя та бруду макробезхребетних, я люблю передавати своїм учням знання та хвилювання про наш природний світ. Я також виявив, що вчуся від своїх студентів стільки ж, скільки вони вчаться від мене. Я з нетерпінням чекаю свого 14-го! рік викладачем природничих наук у Веб-академії Clackamas!
